Perth, Western Australia - September 2013

It was windy and rainy in Perth, a little like Seattle weather and judging from the number of blown out umbrellas we saw the people might not be accustomed to it.  The museum was not far, so we decided to walk.   The city is a mix of old and new, much like Brisbane in that respect.

A colorful utility building caught our eye as we neared the museum.

I had never seen building debris used as art, so I couldn't resist taking a photo.

This piece was done in London by an Australian artist.  It's over 3 feet tall and it appears perfect in every detail.   As a former potter, I was very impressed.

This is an amazingly accurate carving of a Kingfisher.
