Apolomado Falcon - This was the third time our guide attempted to find this rare bird in this same field. We had to remain very close to our vehicle which was parked some distance away and were cautioned not to get closer. It's common in S. America, ranging all the way to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, but only a very few are ever spotted in the US and only in this part of Texas. This was one of many highlights of our trip!     (8:40 AM)
